How can I help? Whether you’re looking to begin your undergrad admissions journey or considering graduate school, you can get started here.
crafting the perfect essay
Ideal for: High school sophomores, juniors, and rising seniors
Along with grades, extracurriculars, and recommendations, your personal statement is an important part of your application package. Essays allow admissions officers to really see and get to know the person behind the numbers—and to gauge whether or not you’d be a good fit for their school.
Through editing sessions and meetings, I’ll guide you through the process of brainstorming, writing, and refining a personal statement. I’ll ask questions and offer feedback that will help your personality shine through in your writing, and you’ll come away with an essay that’s ready to share with your dream schools.
What you’ll get:
Option 1: Support in brainstorming, writing, and polishing a Common Application personal statement (initial meeting + multiple brainstorming and editing sessions)
Option 2: Everything in Option 1, plus support in brainstorming, writing, and polishing supplemental admissions essays as needed (initial meeting + multiple brainstorming and editing sessions)
finding the right schools
Ideal for: High school sophomores and juniors
There are thousands of colleges in the United States alone. They vary from small schools with under 1,000 students to large research universities that are home to as many as 50,000; they’re located everywhere from Alaska to Wyoming, and from California to Maine. How do you find the schools that fit your needs and interests, and how do you pick the right ones to apply to?
That’s where I come in. Over the course of a few sessions, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for in your college experience, and use that information to begin researching schools that might be a good fit—academically, socially, geographically, and otherwise. Together, we’ll build a list of potential schools, and plan out the next steps for visiting and applying.
What you’ll get: Three consulting sessions, an initial list of target schools, and a plan for potential next steps
